“The Watchers” is a conceptual EP by XOTIC MATTR. This project is inspired by ancient myth, forbidden knowledge, and celestial lore. Drawing from texts like the Book of Enoch and Genesis, the project explores the descent of otherworldly beings – the Watchers – who arrive not to conquer, but to observe. But their curiosity leads to a cosmic rupture: the birth of Nephilim, the sharing of divine secrets, and a judgment that echoes through time.
Each track is a chapter in this unfolding mythos, blending cinematic sound design, haunting melodies, and powerful rhythms. From ethereal beginnings to dark ritualistic depths and finally to the distant call of awakening, The Watchers invites the listener into a sonic journey across the boundaries of heaven and earth.

Beneath the Waters

Beneath the Waters dives into the hidden depths of The Watchers universe, unfolding a soundscape that is both mysterious and immersive. The track blends haunting piano motifs with expansive orchestral layers and electronic textures, creating a feeling of being pulled into an ancient, otherworldly current.
Symbolically, the piece explores what lies beneath the surface – the forgotten, the concealed, and the truths waiting to be revealed. It is a song about surrendering to the unknown, letting the waters carry you into the deeper mysteries that shape the story of The Watchers.
In its final act, the track makes a bold shift into a metal-inspired section, with distorted guitars and powerful rhythms, transforming the journey into a dramatic climax that leaves a lasting impact.

Starseed marks the grand finale of the EP The Watchers. The track opens with a dreamy, atmospheric soundscape before gradually building into a powerful and emotional journey. Blending piano, orchestral elements, and modern electronic textures, the music grows toward an epic climax.
As the title suggests, Starseed carries a sense of mystery – the idea of a connection between humanity and the cosmos, and a longing for something greater than ourselves.
